BANANA SPLITS....1969

SCHOOL TIME....S. T. #5

(GREEN APPLES....SPELL SASKATCHEWAN)

1. L. S. Interior of club house.

BKGD MUSIC "School Time"

Fleegle is behind his podium on which is a world globe and a small desk bell. He holds a pointer in his hand. In the foreground are three thirty-inch high stools.

Mass confusion is taking place as Fleegle, who plays teacher, rings his bell while Drooper and Bingo, who play the students, cavort around playing ball, throwing hula hoops and beanbags, etc. Snorky is asleep.

GENERAL CHATTER & SNORING

ANNCR (V. O.)

"It's Banana School time...."

Fleegle quits ringing bell.

FLEEGLE

"All right Banana Students....Education is very important so I want everyone to settle down right now....class, come to attention....quiet....(SHOUTS)....Q U I E T."

The students quickly return to their seats and come to attention. Snoring continues.

MUSIC UNDER AND OUT

2. C. U.

FLEEGLE

"That's better...Now if someone will wake up Snorky, we'll begin."

3. C. U. Snorky. Bingo bops Snorky on the head with a beachball, and he quickly comes awake.

4 M. S. Fleegle and Drooper.

FLEEGLE

"Okay...my first question for today is for Drooper....
Drooper, if I had eight green apples and I ate five of them,
what would I have left?"

DROOPER

"A stomach ache."

5. L. S. Classroom. Bingo begins to laugh loudly...Snorky is snoring. Drooper begins to laugh at his own joke....He and Bingo square dance around Snorky sleeping.

FLEEGLE

"That's enough...settle down...that wasn't funny.
Bingo....just for that, you can answer the next question."

The group returns to their seats and settles down.

"Bingo, let's test your spelling.....'SASKATCHEWAN'...spell the word."

6. M. S.

BINGO

"Word....W-O-R-D."

FLEEGLE

"I didn't mean spell the WORD...I meant SASKATCHEWAN....spell that."

BINGO

"Okay....That....T-H-A-T."

Drooper gets up and shakes Bingo's hand.

DROOPER

"Thata' boy, Bingo - you show 'em."

Snorky also shakes Bingo's hand.

SNORKY

"HONK....HONK...."

Fleegle, defeated, rings bell and throws away pointer.

FLEEGLE

"Class dismissed."

SOUND OF HONKING

SHOUTS OF GAIETY IN BKGD.

7. C. U.

FLEEGLE (Over notes)

"You know something? I'd like to send those guys right to the........"

Fleegle pretends to hastily print letters on a cardboard. He shows sign to camera with several crossed out versions of the word 'moon' and one version reading 'M-U-N'

FLEEGLE

"M-U-N, moon."
