MISC. #6 (The Barber)

1. Sign (24" x 30") reads "Fleegles' Fast Haircuts - Bargain Prices"

2. Easel for sign

3. Light blue smock for Fleegle

4. Feather duster or cloth

5. Barber sheet

6. Long dark fright wig for Drooper

7. Possibly some extra hair like above

8. Stool

9. Large comb

10. Hedge shears

11. Large hand mirror with photo of "Dan Rowan" pasted over glass

12. Phony money

BANANA SPLITS.....1969

MISCELLANEOUS GAGS....MISC. #6....(THE BARBER)

C.U. of sign that reads "Fleegle's fast haircuts...Bargain prices."

CAM WIDENS to reveal Fleegle standing next to the sign which hangs on a barber pole or easel.

FLEEGLE (Reads sign)

"'Fleegle's fast haircuts...Bargain prices'......Good..I've got my sign and scissors...Now all I need is my first customer."

Drooper enters scene.

DROOPER

"I see you've gone into the barber business......do you give good haircuts here?"

FLEEGLE

"No."

DROOPER

"No?"

FLEEGLE

"No...I charge for them."

Drooper sits on stool. Fleegle picks up cloth to put around his neck.

DROOPER

"I'll take one anyway. Can you cut my hair so that I will look just like my cousin?"

FLEEGLE

"How does your cousin look?"

DROOPER (Shades his eyes with hand)

"With his eyes, man....with his eyes...." (Laughs)

FLEEGLE (Rips cloth off Drooper)

"Out......Out" Out

Fleegle hits Drooper with the cloth...Drooper takes off and runs into Bingo just coming into door. Drooper exits. Bingo enters to Fleegle wearing a fright wig. Without a word he looks at sign, nods and sits down on stool.

FLEEGLE

"Do you want a haircut sir?"

BINGO

"Eh???"

FLEEGLE

"I said...do you want a haircut?"

BINGO

"Of course I want a haircut. Do you think I just came in to get out of the rain?"

Fleegle wrpas (sic) on the cloth around Bingo's neck and studies Bingo's hair.

FLEEGLE

"Isn't your hair getting rather thin."

BINGO

"So??? Who wants fat hair????....Besides...it's starting to grow in.."

FLEEGLE

"It must be growing in...it sure isn't growing out." (LAUGHS)

BINGO

"That's enough...I happen to have very wavy hair."

FLEEGLE (Looking close)

"Yeah....But I think it (sic) waving goodbye." (Laughs)

BINGO

"Enuf' (sic) funny stuff....Just cut my hair. All I want is a simple haircut."

FLEEGLE

"Thats my specialty..Simple haircuts for simple people."

Fleegle picks up a large pair of golden shears and a large comb and begins to cut Bingo's fright wig...He goes wild with his clipping and it soon becomes apparent that it is very shaggy and horrible haircut. Finally Fleegle steps back and removes the cloth from Bingo. He picks up a hand mirror and holds it in front of Bingo.

FLEEGLE

"Thats it...Look in this mirror and see if that is what you wanted."

BINGO (Looks and smiles)

"Oh, that looks very nice."

FLEEGLE

"You like that...You think I did a nice job?"

BINGO

"It's just perfect...beautiful."

Bingo stands and hands Fleegle a roll of bills

BINGO

"Here...and keep the change. Thats the best haircut I ever had. Boy....am I good looking."

Bingo exits out door

BINGO

"I look just like a movie star."

FLEEGLE (To cam)

"You know something...I'll keep everybody happy with this mirror."

T.C.U. of mirror as Fleegle turns it to cam. The mirror has a picture of Dan Rowan pasted over the glass.

FLEEGLE

(Laughs)
