THE GREAT FLEEGALI - G. F. #7

(MAGIC ROPE)

PROPS

G.F. #7 (MAGIC ROPE)

1. Sufficient 3/4" rope that will reach to catwalk and secured temporarily. Rope is rigged with fishline to rise by itself.

2. Toy flute (if easily available).

Curtain scene. Snorky in turban stands on stage left of opening next to Chinese gong and holding mallet in his trunk.

ANNCR. (V.O.)

"And now in spite of popular demand we bring you - - - -"

Fleegle jumps out thru the curtain dressed in turban and cape. He crosses arms and freezes.

ANNCR. (V.O.)

"---The Great Fleegali---"

Snorky hits gong.

GONG SOUND

Fleegle vibrates and looks at Snorky.

ANNCR. (V.O.)

"---in another demonstration of his mystic powers."

Snorky hits gong harder.

GONG SOUND (LOUDER)

Fleegle vibrates even more. Fleegle walks to a coiled heavy rope on the floor.

FLEEGLE

"Thank you. The Great Fleegali will now do his famous Indian rope trick. I will cause this rope to magically rise into the air, where it will remain...and I will then climb up the rope!

FLUTE MUSIC (HINDU TYPE)

CYMBAL ROLL

Fleegle waves his hand causing the rope to rise into the air where it remains...

(Rope is pulled up with fishline)

BINGO

"Fleegle, I didn't believe you could do it."

FLEEGLE

"The Great Fleegali can do anything!"

After the rope is out of frame (secured above at catwalk), Fleegle begins to climb up it. When he is several feet off the floor, the rope suddenly falls to floor along with Fleegle.

DROOPER

"I thought you said the Great Fleegali could do anything..."

FLEEGLE

"The amazing Fleegali can do anything...however...the impossible takes a little longer."

Snorky rings GONG. All react.
