F.L.S.D. #1 "MORE POWERFUL THAN A LOCOMOTIVE"

1. M.S. of Fleegle and Super Drooper seated at desk on which is a mike and a pile of letters.

ANNCR (V.O.)

"And now it's fan letter time."

2. C.U. Fleegle

FLEEGLE (Reading letter)

"Here's a fan letter for you, Super Drooper. Dear Super Drooper...Is it true that you are faster and more powerful than a locomotive? Signed.......Curious."

3. M.S. of two.

SUPER DROOPER

"Dear Curious...Yes, it is true that I am faster and more powerful than a locomotive."

FLEEGLE (Still reading)

"Well, I'm glad, because there is a runaway locomotive speeding towards the Banana Splits pad at this very moment."

SOUND OF TRAIN WHISTLING AND APPROACHING

SUPER DROOPER

"A runaway locomotive heading for our pad??? We've got to get out of here."

4. L.S.

Drooper starts to run toward window but Bingo and Snorky enter scene and, with Fleegle, grab his cape and hold him.

FLEEGLE

"Super Drooper...you've got to prove that you are more powerful than a locomotive. You can't let your loyal fans down."

Super Drooper is dragged to the door protesting and kicking and screaming.

SUPER DROOPER

(Adlib protesting)

(Handwritten into script:) No no! Now please fellas! Cut it out! Lemme go! Aw come on fellas, Help-help-help

The gang open the door and push Super Drooper out

TRAIN SOUND UP

7. CUT TO CONEY ISLAND FILM FOOTAGE

Train is chasing Super Drooper down the track (UNDERCRANK)

(Note: One brief shot of this could be seen in the syndicated "Banana Splits And Friends Show" opening titles on the "Atom Ant," "Secret Squirrel" and "Adventure Of Gulliver" openings, and presumably in the original Season 2 "Banana Splits Adventure Hour" opening titles.)

6. CUT BACK TO LIVE (M.S.)

Fleegle and group peek outside thru door.

FLEEGLE

"Super Drooper may not be more powerful than a locomotive but he sure is faster.
